Drinking with Strangers: Music Lessons from a Teenage Bullet Belt

Butch Walker's biography was published by Harper Collins in 2011. A primer for anyone who wants to make it in the music business, "Drinking with Strangers", is interspersed with lots of Butch-isms, including "the world's most depressing pie chart about music publishing"; how in 1984 his production "studio" consisted of a boom box, today it's a Studer and Pro Tools; how to make a really bad music video and spend 3x what the album cost to make and more.

Butch says, "If anything, you should read it because it can be funny at times, and maybe you will learn what NOT to do in the music world (there’s also some funny pie chart illustrations throughout)". Buy it now on Amazon: Hardback & Kindle
