Mike Viola

Mike Viola is a prolific Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, producer and recording artist who first came into the international spotlight as founder and frontman of the Candy Butchers. The success of the Candy Butchers in the 1990s led to multiple appearances on American TV in shows such as Late Night With Conan O’Brien and Last Call With Carson Daly. It also found the group touring alongside the likes of Ron Sexsmith, They Might Be Giants, Robyn Hitchcock, Semisonic, Sparklehorse and Barenaked Ladies.

After 3 albums with Sony/RPM, Mike became known for not only creating music for award-winning films (“Get Him To The Greek”, “Walk Hard”, “That Thing You Do!”), but also writing and producing for other artists (Mandy Moore, Rachael Yamagata, Tim Christensen, Gin Wigmore).
