It's that time of year again where thoughts turn to mince pies, sherry and Christmas songs. Keeping up with the seasonal spirit, Lojinx is releasing a festive mini-album – Christmas Present.
Featuring artists from the Lojinx roster, the mini-album includes tracks from international acts Nate Campany (Brooklyn, USA), The Wellingtons (Melbourne, Australia) and trans-Atlantic electro duo The Bad Machines, as well as British pop band Farrah, Danish musician Henrik, Londoner Caroline Lost and London duo Nightlights.
Farrah’s “Santa Don’t Go” is a feel-good pop tune about childhood Christmas memories, while Caroline Lost’s haunting “Say You’re Mine”, co-written & produced with Ivor-Novello nominated film composer Christian Henson, is an orchestral lullaby about spending Christmas alone. The Bad Machines’ “Not This Time” is an 80s-flavoured electro-synth tune, while The Wellingtons’ indie-pop blast “I Guess It’s Christmas” is a cheery song about Christmas-for-one.
Henrik’s gorgeous “It’s Christmas But Listen!”, featuring a sublime vocal contribution from Nashville country/pop chanteuse Kim Richey, is a sparkling song about Christmas love; while Brooklyn-ite Nate Campany’s “Be Home For Christmas” is a deliciously soft alt-country love song. Closing the mini-album is Nightlights’ folky tale of Christmas in London.
Merry Christmas from Lojinx!
