The Lost Brothers St Christopher

St. Christopher, inspired by the patron saint of travellers, is a single that is close to The Lost Brothers hearts. The band chose to release this Christmas song in aid of the Peter McVerry Trust (supporting young homeless people in Dublin) in honour of those making long journeys to and from their homes. In fact, this song was written by The Lost Brothers on a cold night train home to Liverpool.

Produced by Domino recording artist Bill Ryder-Jones (Domino recording artist and former lead guitarist of The Coral) at Elevator Studios in Liverpool, the song features special guest Drew McConnell (Babyshambles, Fionn Regan) on bass guitar and Bill himself on piano.

In addition, their version of the old timeless classic Moon River was recorded in Portland Oregon at Type Foundry Studios, and produced by Adam Selzer (M Ward producer and band member).

It's a song that has become a staple repertoire piece for The Lost Brothers. They sang it while on their US tour (supporting Glen Hansard) in 2012 and when they passed through Cinncinatti they were comforted by the legacy of the late, great Andy Williams who would sing "Moon River" at the end of his TV show each evening.

All proceeds from this single will be donated to the Peter McVerry Trust, supporting young homeless people in Dublin.
